On July 6, according to Lao Dong's source, the People's Committee of Lang Son province has just decided to supplement more than 32.5 billion VND from the central budget to support communes and wards after the arrangement of administrative units, with an allocation of 500 million VND for each unit.
The decision was issued after implementing Resolution 76/2025/UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.
The support fund is to ensure facilities, equipment and infrastructure for public service activities of new communes and wards.
Along with the additional funding, the Provincial People's Committee also directed relevant departments and branches to review and agree on construction locations, investment scale, and estimated total funding to invest in the construction of offices and auxiliary works for communes and wards.
At the same time, the Department of Construction was assigned to develop and adjust the planning for the construction of administrative centers of communes and wards, as a basis for implementing investment projects in the 2026-2030 period, in accordance with the two-level local government model.

The review of land use planning is also assigned to the Department of Agriculture and Environment to ensure compliance with the socio-economic development plan and investment attraction.
In total, 65 communes and wards after the reorganization will receive additional funding this time, including localities such as That Khe, Doan Ket, Tan Tien, Trang Dinh, Quoc Khanh, Tam Thanh, Ky Lua, Dong Kinh...
The source of support capital is taken from the supplementary central budget with a target according to Decision 1353/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister. The decision takes effect from July 1, 2025.
Speaking with Lao Dong reporter, Ms. Nguyen Anh Yen - Deputy Director of Lang Son Provincial Department of Finance - informed: "Given the characteristic mountainous terrain, the arrangement of the headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Committee, and People's Council at the same location faces many obstacles, leading to a lack of working headquarters, causing many difficulties for cadres and civil servants. In the immediate future, the Provincial People's Committee will direct communes to take advantage of schools, boarding houses or health stations as offices after the reorganization and arrangement of new communes.
According to Ms. Yen, despite many problems, the new communes are still flexibly handling them so as not to interrupt operations.
Currently, according to the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch, Lang Son is reviewing the needs for investment in facilities in communes, including them in the investment plan for the construction of new or repair of headquarters, ensuring stable operations for communes after the merger. The review will be completed before August 30, 2025, said Ms. Yen.
