The Lao Cai Provincial Military Party Committee presides over and closely coordinates with the Provincial Police Party Committee and related units to develop plans, prepare necessary forces and means to be ready to support localities in responding to and promptly handling emergency situations caused by storm No. 5.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee also directed the Party Committees of communes and wards to proactively develop plans and strategies for prevention, response, and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 5.
