On June 2, the authorities of Loc Tien ward (Bao Loc city) and Loc Tan commune (Bao Lam district) said that two tragic drowning incidents had just occurred in the localities. The victims of the drowning incidents were two children, 3 years old and 8 years old.
At around 2:30 p.m. on June 1, at the LalaPool Water Playground (Phan Chu Trinh Street, Loc Tien Ward, Bao Loc City), a drowning incident occurred, killing a 3-year-old child.
At that time, the boy named N.T.L (3 years old, living in Loc Tien ward) was taken by his parents to play at the LalaPool water playground. It is known that this playground has areas dedicated to adults and children.
While playing with his parents and two brothers in the children's area, L unfortunately slipped and fell into the adults' swimming pool area.
When they discovered L lying in the middle of the swimming pool, relatives and employees of the playground quickly took him to the emergency room and transferred him to Lam Dong II Hospital for emergency care. After that, the child was transferred to Children's Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) for further treatment but did not survive.
Also on June 1, in Loc Tan commune (Bao Lam district), another drowning incident occurred, killing an 8-year-old boy. The incident occurred at around 2:00 p.m. the same day at a self-dived lake to drink coffee for the family.
Accordingly, this lake was dug by the family to serve production, and has been carefully fenced off with a 1.2 meter high B40 net and has a lock gate.
However, at that time, H.M.Th (8 years old, living in village 3, Loc Tan commune) and his brother opened the gate lock to enter and play. While playing, Th unfortunately slipped and fell into the lake.
Although he was quickly taken out of the hospital, given first aid and transferred to Lam Dong II Hospital, the child did not survive.
