In the first 2 months of 2025 alone, the company recorded 5 thefts of equipment and supplies of the electricity industry, 21 thefts of equipment and supplies belonging to people's property (after the power plant). The stolen electrical equipment was in a state of electricity operation.
According to the electricity industry, most of the previous thefts of equipment and materials often occurred in remote areas. However, in February 2025 alone, thefts were recorded right in densely populated residential areas, where many people passed by on national highways.

A representative of Dong Nai Power Company Limited informed that the act of stealing property in the electricity industry (including electrical wires, grounding wires and electrical equipment) not only affects the economy, but also seriously affects the safety of the power grid, and can further harm the lives of those who committed the theft.
It is worth mentioning that this behavior can also cause power grid problems, disrupt power supply, cause damage to production and business for businesses, affect national security and the lives of local people.
Typically, the incident that occurred late on February 16, 2025, caused 13,269 customers in 3 communes of Vinh Cuu district to lose power for 25 minutes.
The incident was discovered by Tri An Electricity at Moc Nguyen Quang transformer station, recording the dismantling and cutting of the 25mm2 copper wire earth connection wires; the earth connection wires for the 3 anti-light valve devices were disconnected, the neutral earth connection wires connecting to the wires were cut off (the cutting location near the top of the pillar), the earth connection wires connecting to the lining of the 3 transformers were cut.
According to Mr. Tran The Du - Deputy Director of Dong Nai Power Company Limited, as soon as the incidents were discovered, the electricity industry reported to the local police for coordination in investigating and handling. At the same time, strengthen the inspection of the power grid and deploy technical solutions to prevent theft of equipment and materials.
Dong Nai Power One Member Co., Ltd. also recommended that authorities, localities, and people actively participate in protecting power projects and preventing property theft.
