Approved by the Ministry of Transport under Decision 699/QD-BGTVT dated June 4, 2024, the project to invest in the route connecting Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway with Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway has a total investment of more than 692 billion VND, the Department of Transport of Phu Tho province is the project investor.
According to the update of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters at the National Bidding Network System, the Department of Transport of Phu Tho province has issued a decision approving the contractor selection results of Package No. 16: Construction of the project of Investment in the route connecting Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway with Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway.
According to the approval decision, Tu Lap Construction Company Limited (abbreviated as Tu Lap Construction) was the enterprise that won the above construction package with a price of nearly 468 billion VND (estimated price of more than 472 billion VND), the package implementation period is 420 days.
Thus, after passing the Joint Venture: Cuong Thinh Thi Construction Investment Group Joint Stock Company and 168 Vietnam Construction Group Joint Stock Company, Tu Lap Construction will construct a road connecting the two expressways in Phu Tho.
Tu Lap Construction is a large contractor headquartered in Phu Tho province. Since the beginning of 2025, Tu Lap Construction has participated in 6 bidding packages. As a result, 2 packages were won in Phu Tho (including the above package); 3 packages were missed in the provinces: Lang Son, Tuyen Quang; 1 package in Thai Nguyen province has not had results (updated until the morning of February 21).
Returning to the project of connecting the two expressways, Tu Lap Construction will construct a route with a total length of 2.7 km, including the main expressway and the service road, the starting point connecting to Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway, the end point connecting to Ho Chi Minh road.
According to the report of the Phu Tho Town Land Fund Development Center, the total recovered land area of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway Connection Investment Project with Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway is 3.31 hectares, the number of affected households is expected to be 190 households (in Ha Loc and Phu Ho communes of Phu Tho town).
The project is invested with the goal of improving exploitation capacity, minimizing traffic accidents, improving investment efficiency of Noi Bai - Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressways; gradually completing the road network planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
