Floods in Khanh Hoa have receded but are expected to rise again tonight

On November 18, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Hydrometeorological Station issued a report assessing the weather and water levels on the rivers during the day.

According to this unit, the total rainfall from 7:00 a.m. on November 17 to 7:00 a.m. on November 18 was generally 3080mm. Some places recorded heavier rain such as Khanh Phu 110mm, Khanh Thuong 105mm.

During the day and night of November 18, Khanh Hoa will continue to be cloudy, with moderate to heavy rain, and some places will have very heavy rain with thunderstorms.

Regarding flood developments, in the past 24 hours, rivers in the area have experienced a flood with water levels exceeding alert level 3 by 0.311.83m.

Ninh Hoa and Phan Rang stations recorded water levels 0.020.29m lower than alert level 3.

Khanh Hoa Province Hydrometeorological Station warns: Floods on rivers are likely to rise again tonight and tomorrow morning, the flood peak is expected to be below alert level 2.

People are advised to closely monitor flood and rain updates and proactively take safety measures.
