On July 23, Battalion 516, Infantry Regiment 895 (Provincial Military Command) coordinated with Phu Khuong Military Command to organize a program to visit and give gifts to policy families and implement the "Gratitude Rice Plate" model in Phu Khuong ward, to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).
At the family of Mr. Le Van Le, a 2/4 wounded soldier in Nhon An neighborhood, officers and soldiers cordially inquired about his health, encouraged his spirit, and together with his family cleaned up the house, renovated the premises and prepared a gratitude meal in a warm and meaningful atmosphere.
According to the Organizing Committee, "Gratitude Meal" is not only a reunion meal but also expresses the deep gratitude of today's generation to those who sacrificed and contributed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Simple but practical actions contribute to spreading the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers being close to the people, for the people.

On this occasion, the working delegation also visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vo Thi Nhut (87 years old), Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vo Thi Xe (91 years old) and war invalid Nguyen Van Luan. The members of the delegation cordially inquired about their health, expressed their gratitude for the sacrifices and losses of the families in the cause of national liberation and reunification.
The activity is a practical work towards War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, contributing to educating the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source", fostering military-civilian solidarity and promoting the responsibility of the armed forces in gratitude work.
