On the afternoon of April 17, Gia Lai Provincial Children's Hospital announced that it had handed over the abandoned baby girl to her biological mother, Ms. R.L.H.T (residing in Pior 1 village, Ia Pior commune, Chu Prong district, Gia Lai province) in the presence of the authorities.
The family said that the abandonment of the child came from difficult circumstances and a temporary lack of thought. After the incident was brought to the media, local departments and branches have taken action.
On the morning of April 17, the family proactively contacted the hospital to ask to get the baby back and pledged not to repeat the offense.
Currently, the girl is continuing to be treated at the Department of Tropical Diseases, Gia Lai Provincial Children's Hospital with a diagnosis of measles monitoring, and will be discharged from the hospital when she meets the conditions.
Previously, at around 11:50 a.m. on April 16, Mr. Nguyen Thai Hung, a hospital security guard, discovered a girl about 9 months old sitting alone in front of the lobby of the Examination Department.
On his body was a piece of paper with the content: "I asked the doctor to find someone to raise the baby, the baby was so miserable that he had to do it, thank you. You are very good.
The hospital has received, provided primary care and activated the process of handling abandoned children according to regulations.
