A fisherman died after his basket boat capsized while fishing at sea

    Ha Tinh - While approaching shore, the basket boat carrying two fishermen in Ky Nam ward (Ky Anh town) was suddenly capsized by a large wave, killing one person.

    On June 23, Mr. Bui Van Chuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Nam Ward - said that an accident had just occurred at sea, killing a fisherman.

    Accordingly, at around 4:00 a.m. the same day, Mr. N.V.T (born in 1990) and Mr. N.D.D (born in 1982), both residing in Minh Duc Residential Group, Ky Nam Ward, rowed a basket boat to the coastal area to exploit seafood.

    At around 9am, when the two were bringing the boat to shore, they encountered big waves and strong winds that overturned the boat. Mr. T was swept away and went missing, while Mr. D was lucky to swim to shore and called for help.

    Immediately afterwards, the local authorities coordinated with the people to organize the search. At nearly 12 noon, the victim's body was found and handed over to the family for funeral arrangements.
