Pursuant to Resolution No. 1286/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee "on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Hanoi City, period 2023 - 2025", Hai Ba Trung district merged 7 wards into 4 wards. After the arrangement, Hai Ba Trung district has 15 wards.
The announcement ceremony of the decisions was held simultaneously by Hai Ba Trung district on December 30 in 4 new wards after the above administrative unit arrangement.
Hai Ba Trung District Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nam said that in recent years, the district has seriously and proactively implemented a comprehensive, scientific and effective manner in the area.
In 2017, the district merged and reduced 4 public service units; in 2020, it rearranged 760 residential groups down to 263 residential groups. The district also rearranged 4 wards into 2 wards when reducing from 20 wards to 18 wards.
Pursuant to Resolution No. 1286/NQ-UBTVQH15, the district continues to reorganize 7 wards into 4 wards (reducing from 18 wards to 15 wards). The district is reviewing and will continue to reorganize in 2025 and the coming years for a number of departments, offices, agencies and units under the direction of the Central Government and the city according to Resolution 18-NQ/TU.
