On the morning of September 6, Mr. Le Tien Manh - Chairman of Ia Pa Commune People's Committee - said that heavy rain had caused the water level to rise, rushing through the spillway, isolating 341 households in the area.
Previously, on the evening of September 5, a prolonged heavy rain caused Mo Nang 2 spillway ( Ia Pa commune) to continue to be flooded about 1.5 m deep, completely cutting off the road to the village. This is the second time in more than a week that the area has fallen into a state of isolation.
That same morning, the commune authorities mobilized police forces to blockade both sides of the underground, strictly prohibiting people from passing through.
At the same time, the commune directs village officials to regularly grasp the lives of people. If there is a need for necessities, the government will organize timely supply; in case people are seriously ill, forces will be deployed to take them to the emergency room immediately.
Previously, at noon on August 29, heavy rain also caused this culvert to be deeply flooded, causing rocks and soil to be washed away and isolating the entire village.
After the water receded, the authorities mobilized dozens of people to reinforce and temporarily repair the road through the overflowing underground area.
