People said that after the National Day holiday on September 2, people and vehicles from the Central and Central Highlands provinces and tourist destinations such as Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Da Lat... continued to flock to National Highway 1, causing this road to be congested for a long time.

As of 7pm on September 2, the traffic was still congested. From the intersection between National Highway 1, vehicles follow the Bien Hoa bypass to return to Ho Chi Minh City.
A driver shared that because he was afraid of traffic jams after the holidays, he and his family returned to Ho Chi Minh City from Lam Dong early, but had not yet returned home but still participated in the traffic jam on National Highway 1, through Trang Bom commune.
Meanwhile, the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway Management Unit, the section passing through Dong Nai province, is verifying information about a series of traffic accidents involving many cars, making traffic on this expressway increasingly difficult.
Previously, since the afternoon of September 2, thousands of vehicles have been congested in Ho Chi Minh City, causing a long traffic jam on the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressways.
At intersections on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway such as: Ring Road 3, intersection of Road 319, National Highway 51, intersection of Dau Giay, traffic is continuously diverted, vehicles are not allowed to get on the expressway, forcing them to go on other routes.
According to records in Dong Nai, the increased traffic volume on National Highway 1 and 51 caused local congestion at some intersections. On National Highway 1, the section from the toll station on National Highway 1 towards Tra Co intersection, Binh Minh commune, is more than 3km long and is locally congested, making it difficult for vehicles to move.
Similarly, at some intersections on National Highway 51 passing through Dong Nai province such as the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway intersection, the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway intersection, there were also congestion, vehicles moved slowly.
