Due to prolonged heavy rain, the 4G national highway at km 36+320, the section passing through Cha At village (Phieng Pan commune, Son La) experienced a landslide on the positive slope, with rocks and soil spilling onto the road, causing traffic congestion, and 1 person injured.
In addition, landslides also occurred on Provincial Road 107, through Khoi village (Muong Gion commune); Ta Xa village road (Chieng Mung commune) had a broken power pole. In particular, in Bon village, Ban He (Muong Chien commune), rocks and soil slid down the house foundation, forcing 2 households to be urgently evacuated.

Immediately after the incident, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of the communes mobilized local forces to temporarily handle the slight landslides, coordinated with the road management unit to mobilize machinery and human resources to clear the route. At the same time, affected households are supported to relocate and count the damage to have timely support plans.
In the face of complicated weather developments, local authorities continue to propagate and instruct people to proactively prevent floods and landslides, ensuring safety when traveling through high-risk areas.
