On November 20, the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police mobilized many officers, soldiers and canoes carrying oil to supply the equipment of Quy Nhon Water Plant.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Vang, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, said that since last night, the unit has received an order to supply fuel to the plant to maintain uninterrupted water supply activities for Quy Nhon urban area.
This morning the flood has receded, but the road from National Highway 19 to the factory is still deeply flooded, cars cannot move into the factory.

Therefore, the only way is to pump each can of oil from the truck and then put it in an ice canoe to transport the floodwater inside.
Since yesterday, the Traffic Police Department has coordinated with rescue forces to rescue more than 350 people in deeply flooded areas and take them to shelter at the unit's headquarters. Here, people are provided with food, drinking water, and blankets to stay overnight.
Some cases of injuries due to accidents or mothers in labor were also treated promptly by the unit and transferred to the hospital.
Also on the morning of November 20, Gia Lai sent a document requesting the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Ministry of Finance to propose that the Government support 2,000 tons of rice to relieve hunger for people, when the risk of flooding may continue for many days.
The province also decided to provide emergency support of VND2 million/household for 3 months to poor households, near-poor households and those in particular difficulty (previously about 5,000 households); cases of collapsed houses and roofs will be supported under the policy of storm No. 13.
