Hydropower reservoirs across the country continue to be maintained at a lower level than normal water levels, many reservoirs are mainly generating electricity.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 8:30 am on April 13, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake had an upstream water level of 113.5m, lower than the normal water level by 6.5m. Inflow to the lake 100 m3/s, total discharge through the plant 379.21 m3/s.

In the Northwest region, large reservoirs on the Da River system maintain power generation operation. Lai Chau is at an altitude of 288.99m, lower than the normal water level by more than 6m. Ban Chat reaches 431.52m, Huoi Quang 369.53m, Son La 210.55m - all lower than the normal water level by 4–43m. Hoa Binh reaches 113.75m, inflow to the reservoir 40 m3/s, total discharge through the plant 589 m3/s. Thac Ba reaches 53.03m, discharge for power generation 67.3 m3/s.

In the North Central region, most reservoirs have not generated regulating discharge. Trung Son reached 154.23m; Ban Ve 188.7m. Khe Bo reservoir alone has a total discharge volume of 166.7 m3/s through the plant.

In the South Central Coast region, the operating reservoirs mainly generate electricity with small flow rates. Song Hinh discharges 19.03 m3/s; Vinh Son A discharges 8.07 m3/s; A Vuong, Song Bung 2, Song Bung 4, Song Tranh 2 and Song Ba Ha reservoirs have mostly not overflowed.

In the Central Highlands, many reservoirs maintain cautious power generation. Se San 4 discharges 160 m3/s through the plant; Buon Tua Srah discharges 96 m3/s; Da Mi discharges 44.97 m3/s; Thuong Kon Tum discharges 26.41 m3/s. Some reservoirs open deep discharge gates such as Srepok 3 (2 gates) and Buon Kuop (1 gate).

In the Southeast region, Tri An Lake has a water level of 59.26m, nearly 3m lower than the normal water level, and has not yet been discharged for regulation.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for April 13th, the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue City from April 13th - 14th, is forecast to have intense and especially intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 38-40 degrees C, with some places above 40 degrees C.

The Northwest region, Da Nang City and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will have hot and intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.
