According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 1:30 PM on March 8th, at Lai Chau Lake, the upstream water level reached 294.88m, close to the normal water level of 295m. The water flow to the lake reached 517 m3/s, and the plant has not yet discharged water.
Son La Lake recorded a water level of 214.83m, close to the normal level of 215m; water flow to the lake is 355 m3/s, total discharge through the plant is 168 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Hoa Binh reservoir has a water level of 113.74m, which is 117m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the reservoir reaches 504 m3/s, total discharge 220 m3/s, mainly through the power plant.
Also on the Da River system, Huoi Quang reservoir is at an altitude of 369.79m, close to the normal water level of 370m, with a water inflow to the reservoir of 257 m3/s and a total discharge of 264 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Ban Chat reservoir reached a water level of 447.51m, 475m lower than the normal water level; water flow to the reservoir 15 m3/s, total discharge through the plant 256 m3/s.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir recorded a water level of 114.3m, 120m lower than the normal water level; water flow to the reservoir 33 m3/s, total discharge 122.42 m3/s through the plant.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 8th, the Northern region has rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered; especially the delta and coastal areas tonight and tomorrow morning will have rain, scattered light rain. Cold at night and early morning.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny during the day.
