According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 10:00 AM on June 12, Hoa Binh Hydropower Reservoir had an upstream water level of 98.83m, 18.17m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir reached 3,873m3/s, while the total discharge through the plant was at 1,966m3/s.
At Son La reservoir, the water level reached 196.63m, 18.37m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir reached 2,685m3/s, the total discharge through the plant was 3,248m3/s.
Lai Chau Lake recorded a water level of 287.45m, 7.55m lower than the normal water level.
Ban Chat Lake is at 448.06m, 26.94m lower; Huoi Quang Lake reaches 369.32m, only 0.68m lower than the normal water level and 1.32m higher than the dead water level.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake has a water level of 97.95m, 22.05m lower than the normal water level. Thac Ba Lake reaches 49.59m, 8.41m lower than the design threshold.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 12, the Northern and North Central regions will be sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places with the highest temperature commonly around 31 - 34 degrees Celsius, and in some places above 35 degrees Celsius.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with locally heavy rain.
