According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 5:00 AM on May 31, in the North Central region, Trung Son Lake had an upstream water level of 153.86m, 6.14m lower than the normal water level. Ban Ve Lake was at 177.55m, 22.45m lower than the normal water level.
Notably, Khe Bo Lake recorded the highest water inflow to the lake in the area with 551m3/s and is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 170m3/s.
In the South Central region, hydropower reservoirs continue to receive low water inflows. A Vuong Lake has a water inflow rate of 39.17m3/s and discharges through the plant 58.4m3/s.
Song Tranh 2 reservoir only recorded inflow to the reservoir of 5.74m3/s. Meanwhile, Song Hinh reservoir is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 53.28m3/s.
In the Central Highlands, Se San 4 reservoir has the largest water inflow to the reservoir in the region, reaching 320m3/s and discharging electricity equivalent to 320m3/s. Ialy reservoir recorded a water inflow to the reservoir of 48m3/s but is generating electricity with a discharge flow of up to 480m3/s.
Some reservoirs are discharging through the spillway including An Khe with a flow rate of 4m3/s, Srepok 3 discharging 0.8m3/s and Buon Kuop discharging 15.23m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 31, the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and tonight, sunny tomorrow, with hot sun in some places.
The Southern region and Lam Dong province have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with locally very heavy rain.
