According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 5:00 PM on June 18, in the North Central region, Trung Son Lake had a water level of 155.92 m, 4.08 m lower than the normal water level; Ban Ve Lake reached 174.95 m, 25.05 m lower. Khe Bo Lake reached 64.45 m, 0.55 m lower than the normal water level and is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 216.4 m3/s.
In the South Central Coast, many reservoirs are still at low levels compared to normal water levels such as A Vuong reaching 360.38 m, lower than 19.62 m; Song Bung 2 reaching 586.33 m, lower than 18.67 m; Song Tranh 2 reaching 158.1 m, lower than 16.9 m. Song Ba Ha reservoir reaching 102.72 m, lower than 2.28 m; Song Hinh reservoir reaching 203.96 m, lower than 5.04 m.
The Central Highlands region recorded some reservoirs with water levels approaching normal water levels such as Se San 3 reaching 303.63 m, lower than 0.87 m; Se San 3A reaching 238.71 m, lower than 0.29 m; Srepok 3 reaching 271.75 m, lower than 0.25 m and An Khe reaching 428.64 m, lower than 0.36 m.
Meanwhile, Ialy Lake has a water level of 496.06 m, 18.94 m lower than the normal water level; Pleikrông reached 546.92 m, 23.08 m lower. Buôn Kuốp Lake is discharging 15.37 m3/s through the spillway; An Khê Lake maintains discharging 4 m3/s through the spillway.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 54.46 m, 7.54 m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the reservoir reached 330 m3/s, while the total discharge reached 884 m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 18, the mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with locally very heavy rain. Rain concentrated from late afternoon to morning.
The area from Nghe An to Da Nang city and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest common temperature of 35-37 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, with locally heavy rain.
