According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 1:00 PM on May 28, in the North Central region, Trung Son Lake had a water level of 153.1m, nearly 7m lower than the normal water level. Ban Ve Lake was at 170.4m, 20m lower, while Khe Bo Lake reached 64.78m, nearly reaching the threshold of 65m.
In the South Central Coast, A Vuong reservoir reached 364.05m, nearly 16m lower than the normal water level. Song Tranh 2 reservoir is currently at 163.36m, nearly 12m lower. Vinh Son A, Vinh Son B and Vinh Son C reservoirs all maintain below the normal water level from 5-7m.
In the Central Highlands region, Se San 3 reservoir reached 304.39m, only 0.11m lower than the normal water level. Se San 3A reservoir reached 238.98m, nearly reaching the design threshold of 239m. Dong Nai 4 reservoir is also at 475.46m, close to the normal water level of 476m.
Meanwhile, Ialy reservoir is currently at an altitude of 496.99m, about 18m lower than the normal water level, but the inflow rate to the reservoir is 310 m3/s. Se San 4 reservoir recorded inflow rate of 467 m3/s, total discharge rate reached 320 m3/s.
Some reservoirs are operating discharge gates including An Khe with 1 surface discharge gate, Srepok 3 operating 2 deep discharge gates and Buon Kuop operating 1 deep discharge gate. Most of the remaining reservoirs mainly discharge water through power generating units or have not implemented regulating discharge.
