According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 1:00 PM on May 28, Hoa Binh Lake recorded water inflow to the lake reaching 2,884 m3/s, the largest in the Northern region. Total discharge flow reached 2,877 m3/s, all through the plant. The upstream water level of the lake is at an elevation of 104.28m, nearly 13m lower than the normal water level.
Son La Lake has a water inflow rate of 1,498 m3/s, total discharge volume of 2,638 m3/s. The current lake water level is 195.34m, nearly 20m lower than the normal water level of 215m.
At Lai Chau reservoir, the water inflow to the reservoir reached 572 m3/s, total discharge volume 1,380 m3/s. The reservoir water level reached 285.02m, about 10m lower than the normal water level.
Meanwhile, Huoi Quang reservoir has a water level of 368.5m, only about 1.5m lower than the normal water level of 370m. The inflow to the reservoir reached 223 m3/s.
Tuyen Quang Lake recorded a water level of 104.36m, water inflow to the lake reached 161 m3/s and total discharge volume 737.73 m3/s.
At the same time, Thac Ba reservoir had a water flow to the reservoir reaching 66 m3/s, with a total discharge volume of 438.11 m3/s. The reservoir water level was at 50.32m, nearly 8m lower than the normal water level.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 28, the Northern region (except Lai Chau, Dien Bien) will have hot sun, with intense hot sun in some places with the highest common temperature of 35-37 degrees C, in some places above 37 degrees C. Tomorrow evening there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Hue city has intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature commonly 37-39 degrees Celsius, in some places above 39 degrees Celsius.
The South Central Coast has hot and intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.
