Many important goals
Dak Nong province has just set 11 socio-economic development targets with high determination for 2025, with the goal of comprehensively improving life and sustainable development.
According to the plan, the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is expected to reach 6.84%, raising the average GRDP per capita to 82 million VND/year. Total social investment capital is estimated to reach 25,000 billion VND, while the State budget revenue strives to reach 3,350 billion VND.
Along with economic development, Dak Nong province focuses on sustainable poverty reduction, aiming for comprehensive development. According to the 2021-2025 period standards, the poverty rate is expected to decrease by 1% or more, of which poor households of local ethnic minorities will decrease by at least 2%.
These goals not only demonstrate the province's strong determination in promoting the economy, but also affirm its commitment to caring for people's lives, especially vulnerable groups, ensuring equitable and sustainable development.
With the set goals, the Dak Nong provincial government shows great determination and strives to complete the targets before 2025 - an important milestone, closing the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the 2020-2025 period.
Therefore, the implementation of socio-economic development targets this year is of special importance to Dak Nong province.
However, to achieve these targets, it requires synchronous coordination between levels, sectors and responsibility, determination from leaders to each cadre and civil servant in the area.
Per capita income increased
Looking back at the socio-economic picture in 2024, we can see the drastic participation of the government and each official.
Because 2024 is a year full of difficulties and challenges for Dak Nong province. Natural disasters, prolonged droughts... have caused serious economic damage. Difficulties in mechanisms and policies related to land, bauxite... have not been completely resolved, greatly affecting the disbursement of public investment capital and attracting investment capital.
However, thanks to the determination in leadership, management and implementation, Dak Nong province has completed and exceeded 8/11 socio-economic targets.
Many important areas such as infrastructure, labor and employment, poverty reduction, health care, education, culture, environment and new rural construction have all made positive progress.
A bright spot in Dak Nong's development picture is that the province's per capita income reached more than 81 million VND, nearly double that of 2020.
This is a leap forward, helping Dak Nong rise to 43rd place out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide and second in the Central Highlands region in terms of per capita income, just behind Lam Dong.
The province’s poverty reduction work has also achieved many remarkable results. The poverty rate has dropped to 3.15%, helping Dak Nong lead the Central Highlands region and enter the top 10 provinces and cities with the best poverty reduction results in the country.
Social security and charity activities have also recorded encouraging results. Dak Nong province has mobilized and called for more than 80 billion VND to build and repair nearly 200 houses for households in difficult circumstances...
To complete the socio-economic targets for 2025, Dak Nong Provincial Secretary Ngo Thanh Danh emphasized that it is necessary to continue to promote the responsibility of setting an example for leaders and managers at all levels.
Cadres must dare to think, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to innovate, dare to face difficulties and challenges, dare to act for the common interests of the province and the people...
