On August 16, the Tan Hai Ward Party Committee, Ho Chi Minh City, held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
The congress was attended by Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Mr. Tran Van Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Mr. Le Hoang Hai - Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Dr. Bui Van Thach - full-time Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council and delegates, representing party members in the whole ward.
Tan Hai Ward was established on the basis of merging Tan Hoa and Tan Hai Wards, Phu My City, formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province. The whole ward has a natural area of 51.86 km2, a population of 30,297 people, including 9 neighborhoods, 22 Party organizations with 474 Party members.
In the 2020-2025 period, Tan Hai ward has maintained a good growth rate, with most of the targets achieved and exceeded the Resolution. Many completed projects put into use have promoted their effectiveness, contributing to strongly promoting regional connectivity, creating new development space and increasing competitiveness to attract investment such as: National Highway 56 - Ba Ria City bypass, Road 991B, drainage line along National Highway 51...
For the 2025 - 2030 term, Tan Hai ward aims to increase average budget revenue by 12%/year; total annual product value increases by 12.6%; average income per capita by 2030 increases by 80%...
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council - congratulated and commended the achievements of the locality in the past term, basically agreed with the goals, tasks, solutions and breakthrough programs set out in the 2025-2030 term.

With a favorable location such as: adjacent to Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster, Cai Mep Ha Logistics Center and modern industrial parks, Tan Hai Ward Party Committee needs to review, adjust and supplement the planning to meet the requirements of sustainable development, maximize potential and advantages, and effectively use land funds.
"The locality can study and propose to Ho Chi Minh City to plan an extended metro line passing through the ward, strongly developing the urban model oriented towards public transport (TOD), reducing dependence on National Highway 51 to take advantage of location", Mr. Vo Van Minh suggested.
According to Mr. Minh, this will create motivation to attract investment in high-quality service, commercial and housing projects, creating a green - smart living space, enhancing land value and budget revenue, connecting the area more closely to the modern urban network of Ho Chi Minh City today.
At the same time, Tan Hai ward also needs to focus on attracting and calling for investors with sufficient capacity and experience to invest in developing large projects in economy, culture, and society with high quality, projects in logistics centers, warehouses, trade, services, tourism, etc. according to the approved planning orientation.
The Congress also launched the Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. In which, Mr. Trinh Hang (formerly held the position of Director of the Department of Tourism; Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) was appointed as Secretary of the Tan Hai Ward Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
