Voters in Da Nang City reported that National Highway 1A at the Lau Sup intersection (the intersection between DH1 road, Dien Ban Bac ward and National Highway 1A) has a high population density, high traffic volume, and many potential risks to traffic safety.
Voters recommended that the Ministry of Construction study and soon install a traffic signal system to ensure traffic safety.
After studying, the Ministry of Construction would like to answer as follows:
The intersection that voters have proposed to install a traffic light system is the intersection between DH1.dB road (a road managed by the locality) and National Highway 1 at Km942+400 (Lau Sup intersection, Dien Ban ward, Da Nang city).
Currently, the road has been installed with yellow lightning warning lights, signs, painted lines on the edge to slow down, ... to warn and regulate traffic.
According to the report, the Vietnam Road Administration has coordinated with the Quang Nam Department of Transport (now the Da Nang Department of Construction), the Traffic Police Department of the Quang Nam Provincial Police (now Da Nang City), the People's Committee of Dien Ban Town (now Dien Ban Ward), Construction Joint Stock Company 545 and other local authorities to inspect the scene, draw up a record to request the People's Committee of Dien Ban Town to report to competent authorities to install a traffic light system at the location of DH1.DB Street intersecting with National Highway 1 using local funding.
To improve traffic safety at the above intersection, it is recommended that the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City give opinions to the People's Committee of Da Nang City to direct local authorities to promptly invest in installing a traffic light system according to the content agreed upon by the parties.
The Ministry of Construction acknowledges the recommendations of voters in Da Nang city in the management, operation, exploitation and maintenance of National Highway 1 in Da Nang city and will direct the Vietnam Road Administration and relevant agencies to strengthen inspection and coordination to ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic.
