On the morning of October 28, the People's Committee of Ngoc Linh commune said that at about 0:00 a.m. on the same day, in Lang Moi village, Ngoc Linh commune, Quang Ngai province, people discovered a terrifying loud explosion on the mountain, about 4 km northeast of the People's Committee of Ngoc Linh commune headquarters.
The landslide caused serious damage to crops and cut off the traffic route to Ngoc Lang, Mo Po, Xa ua, and Tu Rang villages; fortunately there were no human casualties.
In the landslide area, the total length of the landslide is about 3 km along a small stream. There are currently no specific damage figures. Agencies and departments are continuing to verify, count the damage and direct the relocation of households in villages at risk of landslides, mobilizing people to safety.
