On October 27, a representative of the People's Committee of Dak Plo commune, Quang Ngai province said that this morning, dozens of dangerous landslides occurred in the area.
Landslides with thousands of cubic meters of rock and soil spilling onto the road, such as Lo Xo Pass, Provincial Road 673 to Ngoc Linh Commune, Xop Commune, also had nearly 20 landslides, many fallen trees blocking the road, causing many villages to be isolated.
Currently, many roads in the border commune of Dak Plo are landslides, temporary traffic disruption, including: Road from Rooc Nam village to the People's Committee of the commune; Road DH81 from Mang Khenh village to the People's Committee of the commune; Road DH83 from Dak Pek commune to Dak Plo commune.

The landslides caused 449 households with more than 1,500 people in Dak Plo commune to be isolated.
At Lo Xo Pass, the most serious landslides occurred at Km1403 and Km1408, with thousands of cubic meters of rock and soil pouring down. Many trucks and passenger cars cannot move to Da Nang city or to Gia Lai, forcing them to park on both sides of the road.
During the repair period, the traffic police force advised people not to move through the pass to ensure safety, and at the same time chose other alternative routes.
Many drivers waited for a long time in the face of food and drinking water shortages; the Lo Xo Pass rescue team and the Traffic Police are trying to support.

Meanwhile, the People's Committee of Dak Plo commune said that the locality lacks human resources and means to clear and dig excavated rocks and soil on the roads. Currently, the commune only depends on the company's excavator under construction in the area.
Also on the same morning, the Dak Plo commune government mobilized and evacuated 26 households with 116 people from areas at risk of landslides and flash floods, ensuring safety for people.
