People hand over a python individual weighing more than 10kg

    Ha Tinh - On May 14, Vu Quang National Park received a python weighing more than 10kg from a household in Ky Xuan commune (Ky Anh district) to release back into the wild.

    After receiving it, Vu Quang National Park is continuing to monitor and care for it before releasing it back into the natural environment.

    According to Vu Quang National Park, the python was handed over by the receiving unit to the family of Ms. Phan Thi Nguyet (Xuan Phu village, Ky Xuan commune).

    Before that, Ms. Nguyet's family caught this python in their garden. After determining that this was an endangered, rare wild animal (belonging to group IIB), Ms. Nguyet's family reported to the Ky Xuan Commune Police and the Ky Anh District Forest Protection Department to hand it over to the authorities.
