Long Sap commune currently has 22 villages, 6 ethnic groups living together, with over 30km of border and international border gate for direct trade with Laos.

According to the reporter's records, on September 2, thousands of people and tourists flocked to Long Sap commune stadium in the brilliant colors of the H'Mong boy and girl, the bustling atmosphere of the independent New Year.

Ms. Thao Thi Dua, Phieng Cai village, said: Today, everyone chooses the most beautiful dresses to go to the market and have fun. The H'Mong community in neighboring areas also gathered here to celebrate Tet. The atmosphere was very crowded and bustling. This is an opportunity for people in our border areas to meet, exchange, and become more attached to our homeland and international friends.

In the festival drum music, folk games such as tug of war, rolling, throwing con, handling sticky rice cakes and special performances of the H'Mong, Thai, and Kho Mu people took place in the cheers and cheers of many tourists and people.
In particular, the graceful Lam Vong dances in the art program created highlights, expressing the close brotherhood between the two peoples.

Ms. Jounny SingLueXay, an officer of the 214th Border Guard (Laos) shared: Every year, the atmosphere of National Day 2.9 in Long Sap is very vibrant. By participating in activities together, we feel like we are attending the festival of our own homeland. These opportunities for exchange make the Vietnam - Laos relationship even closer".
