On the afternoon of March 28, while on duty, the Hanoi Traffic Police force quickly arrived at the scene, coordinating with functional forces to rescue a foreign man who jumped from the 5th floor of an apartment building.
Initial information, at around 5:30 p.m.the same day, the working group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 14 (Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police) on Nghiem Xuan Yem Street received a report from local residents about a foreign man climbing onto the balcony of the 5th floor of an apartment building with the intention of committing suicide.
Immediately after receiving the information, the working group reported to the Team Command, quickly moved to the scene, organized traffic flow, and provided traffic guidance, and coordinated with Dai Kim Ward Police (Hoang Mai District), Fire Prevention and Rescue Forces to deploy rescue measures.
Although the authorities and relatives actively persuaded and detained him, the man was determined to commit the negative act.
At around 6:15 p.m., this person suddenly fell from the 5th floor to the balcony of the 2nd floor of the building.
In an urgent situation, because the ambulance had not yet arrived, the working group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 14 used a specialized vehicle to take the victim to the Military Traditional Medicine Hospital for emergency care.
The case is currently being further verified and handled by the authorities according to regulations.
