On October 31, in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in coordination with the Central Theoretical Council organized a scientific workshop with the theme "contributing opinions to the Draft Documents of the 14th National Party Congress".
Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Minh Huan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics chaired the workshop.
The workshop was held directly in Hanoi and connected online to the connecting points in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Can Tho, with the participation of more than 700 delegates who are leaders, managers, experts, scientists, lecturers and students of the Academy and theoretical research agencies.
Presenting the paper "40 years of innovation and results of the 13th National Party Congress term", Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Permanent Deputy Head of the 14th National Party Congress Documents Editorial Team - said that the process of summarizing the implementation of 40 years of national renovation taking place from 1986 (after the 6th National Party Congress) to before the 14th National Party Congress is a process that must pay special attention to the world context and the domestic context.
According to Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan, in many meetings and works related to the summary as well as discussions of the Central Committee, the Politburo and the Steering Committee for summarizing 40 years of innovation have emphasized the need to clarify this context.
This is to better recognize the creativity and determination of our Party and State, especially the people's trust in the Party and the regime as the driving force for us to overcome all difficulties and challenges. That shows the significance and value of the achievements in 40 years of renovation.
Second, the results of 40 years of renovation are historic. In terms of economy, society, people, the country's position in the international arena and especially innovation issues related to improving and fundamentally enhancing people's lives.
He cited the fact that from where 70% of people lived below the poverty line before the renovation, we now have only more than 1% of poor households. From an average GDP income/person of only 92 USD/person, the average GDP/person is now expected to be 5,100 USD. Especially the people's lives are constantly improving.
"Up to now, we can say that we cannot imagine a country developing like this, innovating life like this. It must be said that these are the great values we have achieved - Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan shared.
According to him, these are extremely great achievements of historical significance. Having gone through many hardships, coming out of the smoke of war until today, we can affirm that these are great achievements, historic achievements.
Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan also said that a very important summary of 40 years of innovation is the construction, formation and gradually completion of a theory on the innovation guidelines.
"A theory on innovation guidelines is the result of theoretical awareness process. That process brings revolutionary awareness in the process of building and developing the country" - Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan said.
