The package for the Long Thanh airport passenger terminal is implemented by the VIETUR consortium, with more than 5,100 personnel and more than 1,000 equipment arranged on the construction site, with a total completed volume value of about 26,115 billion VND. The entire terminal's reinforced concrete structure has been completed; the steel roof, canopy, and glass facade structures are basically completed. Architectural completion, MEP, and aviation equipment systems are being deployed. Many important systems have been installed, partially accepted and put into technical operation to serve the test flight on December 19, 2025, such as: escalators, elevators, some passenger access bridges, luggage conveyor belts, and security screening.

The remaining items are being accelerated, with the goal of basically completing the entire terminal before May 31, 2026, ready for intermodal trial operation and official operation in June 2026. Along with the terminal, auxiliary works such as wastewater treatment, cargo terminal, garage, ICT - airport management system, and connecting transportation are also being deployed simultaneously.

To date, connecting traffic route No. 1 has been technically opened to traffic, route No. 2 has completed asphalt concrete paving; traffic safety, lighting, and landscape items are being completed, expected to be completed in February 2026.

ACV said that all bidding packages are managed according to the principle of "taking the June 2026 operating milestone as the center", prioritizing definitively resolving intersections and overlaps, ensuring the synchronicity of the entire project.

Minister Tran Hong Minh emphasized the requirement in the current period that the Long Thanh airport construction site not only needs to be fast but also beautiful, green, and clean. Each completed item must meet quality, technical and aesthetic standards, worthy of being a modern, environmentally friendly international airport, meeting 5-star standards when put into operation.

The Minister requested the locality to study and supplement roads directly connecting to the airport, connecting with national highways, ring roads and the inter-provincial transportation system, in order to create the most favorable conditions for people and passengers to access Long Thanh airport in the future.
