On the afternoon of December 27, in a quick exchange with Lao Dong reporters, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Vu Thanh Tung, Director of Lang Son Provincial Police, said that functional agencies are urgently investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident that killed 3 people in a family in Vu Lang commune.
Accordingly, the time of the incident was determined to be around nearly 4 am on the same day.
Immediately after receiving the information, provincial police leaders were directly present at the scene to direct professional units to coordinate in investigating and verifying.
According to initial assessments by functional agencies, the incident was determined to be due to the husband killing his wife and children and then committing suicide.
The identities of the victims were identified as husband N.T.T (born 1993), wife L.T.Q (born 2000) and son L.N.Q (born 2021).
The couple works as grocers, residing in Bao Thanh village, Vu Lang commune.
Also according to the leaders of the Provincial Police, through grasping the initial situation, the subject was recorded to have shown signs of depression and psychological instability in recent days.
Currently, the police force is coordinating with the Lang Son Provincial People's Procuracy to investigate the cause according to regulations," the leader added.
