On June 16, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that as of mid-June 2025, the whole province has started construction of 5,144 houses according to the plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.
Of these, 4,174 houses were newly built and 970 houses were repaired. To date, 3,025 houses have been completed, including 2,182 newly built houses and 843 repaired houses.
Of which, there are 123 houses for policy families and meritorious people (reaching nearly 70% of the plan); 1,281 houses for poor and near-poor households under national target programs (reaching 74% of the plan); 3,740 houses under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households (reaching 69.43% of the plan).
Some localities in the province have completed over 70% of the plan, including: Krong Pac district (94.31%), Buon Ho town (85.48%), Cu M'gar district (85.33%), Krong Ana district (81.48%) and Buon Don district (76.76%).
The remaining districts have achieved over 50% of the plan, while Buon Ma Thuot city alone has achieved 36%.
In 2025, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Police to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to build 4,285 more houses for poor and near-poor households.
The total implementation cost is 342.8 billion VND. Of which, the Central Government supported more than 257 billion VND, the province contributed 85.7 billion VND. Each house is supported with 80 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Thien Van - Acting Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - said that the province has directed departments, branches and localities to continue to speed up the progress, promptly completing the plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor in 2025.
Difficulties and problems arising during the implementation process need to be compiled and reported to the Provincial People's Committee for timely direction and resolution.
