A great gift for people in need
The movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses that started in March 2025 has been actively responded to and accelerated by communes such as Dak Dro, Quang Phu, Nam Nung, Nam Da, Nam Xuan... in Krong No district.
In particular, in Nam Da commune, the commune government and the Social Policy Bank, the army, police and a large number of people have recently officially started building houses for 8 qualified households.

For example, over the years, the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc in Nam Da commune and many other families have had to live in a cramped, degraded house. In the summer, the house is as hot as a furnace, but in the rainy season, it leaks all over.
However, due to unstable income, she did not have enough money to rebuild or repair the house, with the cost reaching tens of millions of VND. When the State cared about and included her in the list of house construction support, Ms. Ngoc could not hide her great joy.

"I thought I would have to live in a cramped, dilapidated house all my life. During the difficult time, the family was supported by the State to buy bricks, cement, and steel to rebuild the house. This is not only a joy and pride but also a deep gratitude to philanthropists and sponsors who have joined hands to contribute, Ms. Ngoc shared.
Mr. Tran Thai Chau - Chairman of Nam Da Commune People's Committee said that implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, in 2025, Nam Da commune proposed to support 15 households with a total budget of 900 million VND. In the first phase, 8 households were approved for support with a total cost of 480 million VND.

"Currently, Nam Da has had many positive changes with fully invested concrete roads in residential areas, power systems, roads, schools, and stations. With the spirit of not leaving anyone behind, the commune will continue to review households still living in temporary and dilapidated houses, facing housing difficulties to propose support for new construction and repair, ensuring the best life for the people, Mr. Chau added.
Support the construction of 87 new houses
Krong No district is actively implementing a program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses under the direction of the Prime Minister. Up to now, all 12/12 communes and towns in the district have completed the establishment of the grassroots Steering Committee according to regulations.
The Steering Committee is responsible for reviewing, surveying and making a list of poor and near-poor households that need to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. As of early May 2025, the People's Committee of Krong No district has implemented two phases of the program, supporting the construction of 87 new houses.

The district government and organizations are making efforts to complete the construction of all 87 houses before June 30, 2025 on schedule.
Recently, the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Dak Nong province have paid special attention to and closely directed the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in localities. The Steering Committee of Krong No district has also mobilized maximum resources, enhanced the responsibility of each individual and collective to complete the program, ensuring consistency, unity and high efficiency.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Ha - Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong No district shared: "Accelerating the progress of building new houses, ensuring the quality of the project will help poor people soon stabilize their lives. Especially, in the context of the approaching storm season, solid, sturdy roofs will be a safe support, helping people and their children live with peace of mind".
