On May 8, the Quang Binh Provincial Journalists Association held a press conference to inform about activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
As planned, the activities will be held from now until the end of June, 2025, in order to review the glorious tradition of the Vietnamese revolutionary press; affirming the great role and mission of journalists in the cause of national protection and development; At the same time, grateful to the great contributions of generations of journalists in the province through periods.
Mr. Hoang Huu Thai - Chairman of the Journalists Association of Quang Binh province said that the highlight of the series of activities is the 100th Anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, scheduled to be held on June 21.
According to the Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial Journalists Association, the program includes a ceremony and a festival with the following contents: giving a speech reviewing the revolutionary press tradition, commendation, rewarding outstanding collectives and individuals, awarding the "For the cause of Vietnamese journalism" Medal and a special art program to celebrate.
Along with that, the province will organize a press exhibition reflecting the development of local press, displaying typical publications and artifacts associated with Quang Binh press activities through the stages. In addition, there are exchange programs, seminars between journalists and readers, businesses, and press forums to accompany local socio-economic development.
In particular, the Quang Binh Journalists Association will preside over the XIX Quang Binh Press Awards Ceremony - 2024, in order to honor the excellent press works, promptly reflect the province's political, economic, cultural and social events in the past year. At the same time, local press agencies will strengthen propaganda about the revolutionary journalism, portraits of typical journalists, and the role of the press in the integration - digital conversion phase.
Activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press in Quang Binh are not only an opportunity to honor the press profession, but also an opportunity to raise awareness in the political system and the whole society about the position and role of revolutionary press in building and defending the Fatherland.
