In recent days, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has been drawing lines to separate lanes and adjust traffic signals on National Highway 51, the section passing through the area (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).
Many workers are rushing to paint new movement signals on the lanes in the intersection area. At the same time, traffic lights were also turned off and adjusted.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction issued a document announcing the adjustment of traffic reorganization on National Highway 51, applicable from November 17. In particular, vehicles when changing direction (left turn, right turn, turn around) at the intersection must take from the third lane calculated from the heart median strip, not on the first lane as before.

It is noted that at some intersections where adjustments have been completed on National Highway 51, many vehicles are quite chaotic when the painted lines on the lane have changed, the traffic lights have changed.
For example, at the intersection between Cach Mang Thang Tam Street (Long Huong Ward) and National Highway 51, many vehicles have complied with the new instructions and new light signals.
However, many drivers are confused by the change, so there has been a situation where some vehicles go straight on the new left turn lane; some vehicles stop at the left turn on the new straight lane...
Some vehicles are even confused about whether to go or stop, leading to crossing the white line and then panicking to stop; or even carelessly going straight when the light signal is turning left - turning around...
A driver named Hoang said that because he did not have the information, he should go as before, instead of proactively going to the new left turn lane. When I saw a signal of a turn signal, I still changed direction as before.
The driver named Huy said: "I was wrong at Long Huong intersection, instead of turning left in the third lane, I went straight. So when I reached the intersection to enter Long Son commune, I moved to the station in lane 1 to go straight, but accidentally blocked the road for vehicles turning left, because this place has not changed and is still going as before...".
According to the Department of Construction, during this time, drivers need to move slowly when reaching the intersection, follow the directional signs, signal the direction of painted movements under the lane, as well as signal lights for traffic in accordance with regulations.
