On the morning of November 22, the railway industry mobilized maximum forces and equipment to inspect and handle a series of landslides and roadbed erosion after floods.
At the temporary bridge at Km1136+850 (Xuan Lanh commune), the railway force is urgently checking and reinforcing. In the La Hai - Xuan Son Nam section, rising floodwaters eroded the roadbed at Km1161+200 (Dong Xuan commune), threatening the safety of ship traffic.
The Xuan Son Nam - Chi Thanh route continues to record many dangerous points, part of the stone foundation is washed away by water; the south of Chi Thanh tunnel, an 8m long stone foundation is eroded; at Km1169+560, a landslide on the road caused about 25m of rail bridge damage.

The sections from Km1169+565 to Km1169+700 and Km1170+670 to Km1170+900 were also washed away by stone foundation, increasing the risk of unsafe train travel. In An Ninh Tay commune, rocks and trees fell onto the railway; some sections of the stone foundation continued to be washed away, and waste stagnated, affecting the route structure.
The Phuoc Lanh - La Hai area also experienced dense rocks and fallen trees, greatly hindering efforts to clear the route.
The section through Phu Yen ward recorded eroded stone foundations stretching from Km1205+085 to Km1206+750. In Hoa Hiep ward, the stone foundation continued to be damaged from Km1211+900 to Km1215+125.
Hoa Xuan commune also had two landslides at Km1228+250 and Km1228+800. In addition, many signal information systems were flooded and damaged, disrupting train operations.
The railway industry said it is focusing on maximum human resources and machinery to fix the problem, ensure safety and soon restore operations.
Previously, due to the impact of floods, trains SE4 and SE2 had to stop at Tuy Hoa station; passengers were transferred by car to Dieu Tri station to continue their journey on train SE8.
