At around 5:30 p.m. on March 31, a firecracker explosion occurred on the 2nd floor of a house in Thanh Nhan village, Thanh Xuan commune (Soc Son district, Hanoi), killing a young man.
After receiving reports from the people, the authorities promptly arrived at the scene, put out the fire and rescued the people. Not long after, the fire was completely controlled.
Chairman of Thanh Xuan Commune People's Committee, Soc Son District - Mr. Chu Van Phuong confirmed the above information, and said that the explosion and fire caused the death of a young man (born in 2006, from Hung Yen).
According to initial verification by the authorities, the young man was believed to be making illegal fireworks when the explosion occurred. The cause of the incident is still being investigated and clarified.
