Due to heavy rain on September 23, the "oasis" village of Hong Lam (Xuan Giang commune, Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh) was deeply flooded, water entered people's houses.

According to information from Nghi Xuan District People's Committee, on September 23, leaders of the district People's Committee inspected, encouraged, and directed the work of ensuring safety for people and property in Hong Lam village after the place was flooded.

Nghi Xuan district leaders have supported 50 households severely flooded in Hong Lam village, including drinking water and instant noodles.

According to a quick report from Nghi Xuan district, some village and commune roads in the area are flooded, affecting traffic.

The entire district has 17 schools flooded with an average depth of 20-40cm; Hoi Thong dike (Xuan Hoi) continues to erode 3m deep, 80m long; flooded roads cut off the farm area in Hong My village (Xuan My) and broke the banks of 2 shrimp ponds (Xuan Pho), with an area of ​​nearly 1.5ha.

Heavy rain also caused flooding from 0.3 - 0.5m deep in the communes of Xuan Hong, Xuan Hai, Xuan Vien, Xuan Giang...

After the actual inspection, Nghi Xuan district leaders assigned local authorities of communes to organize and assign officers to stay at key points and set up guards on deeply flooded roads.

Local authorities advise people not to risk traveling on flooded roads. Mobilize organizations and unions to help and support people move furniture and belongings from flooded houses; have plans to evacuate people when necessary.

According to Lao Dong Newspaper, due to heavy rain on September 23, some inter-village and inter-commune roads in Huong Son district, Huong Khe district and even inner-city roads in Ha Tinh city were flooded, affecting traffic.

On the morning of September 23, more than 10,000 students in Ha Tinh province were absent from school due to flooding. Of these, nearly 6,000 students were absent from Huong Son district, more than 3,000 students from Huong Khe district, and more than 1,000 students from Duc Tho district.
