Cao Bang - The government and a consortium of investors have just held a ceremony to open the Dong Khe tunnel on the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project.

On November 26, informing reporters, a representative of the Cao Bang Provincial Traffic Project Management Board (the competent State agency) of the project said that the right tube of tunnel No. 2 located at Ban Neng hamlet (Thuy Hung commune, Thach An district, Cao Bang province) has been dug and the tunnel tube has been officially opened since today.

It is known that the right tunnel on the west side (tunnel number 2) belongs to the Dong Dang (Lang Son) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang) expressway project, phase 1. This tunnel will be 495 m long, 33 m longer than the left tunnel.

At this stage, Lang Son side also has a tunnel built with a length of 220 m.

After nearly 11 months of implementation, according to the latest report of the Cao Bang Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, over 99.78% of the site has been handed over to investors.

On these areas, the construction unit mobilized 27 construction teams with more than 1,000 workers working day and night.

According to the actual observations of the reporter at the end of November, the working atmosphere at the construction site was urgent.

At the construction site of road tunnel No. 2 on the route (in Ban Neng hamlet, Thuy Hung commune, Thach An district), workers are divided into "3 shifts, 4 shifts" to work.

Of which, Cao Bang province handed over 41.26/41.35 km, equivalent to 99.78% of the route length; Lang Son province handed over 51.88/52 km, equivalent to 99.77% of the route length.

The Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project has a total length of 121 km, and is divided into 2 investment phases.

Phase 1 (with a capital of 14,125.41 billion VND), invested with a length of more than 93 km. Starting point at Tan Thanh border gate intersection (Van Lang district, Lang Son province). End point at National Highway 3 intersection (Chi Thao commune, Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province).
