The Prime Minister has just signed Decision No. 1436/QD-TTg adjusting the investment policy of the Dong Dang (Lang Son province) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang province) Expressway Construction Investment Project under the PPP form.
The preliminary adjusted total investment for phase 1 of the Project is 14,114,781 billion VND, an increase of more than 3,000 billion VND.
The total investment for phase 2 will be calculated accurately when the start date is determined.
Phase 1 of the expressway was started by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on January 1, 2024.
After nearly 11 months of implementation, according to the latest report of the Cao Bang Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, over 99.78% of the site has been handed over to investors.
On these areas, the construction unit mobilized 27 construction teams with more than 1,000 people working day and night.
According to the actual observations of the reporter at the end of November, the working atmosphere at the construction site was urgent.
At the construction site of road tunnel No. 2 on the route (in Ban Neng hamlet, Thuy Hung commune, Thach An district), workers are divided into "3 shifts, 4 shifts" to work.
"The road tunnel has 2 tunnels, with the right tube about 500m long; the left tube about 485m long. The construction unit is using modern self-propelled drilling machines to drill 2 tunnels. Every day, the unit goes about 4-6m deep into the mountain," said a representative of the construction unit.
The project investor consortium is aiming to open the route on schedule by the end of 2025. The Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway is a road project passing through the two provinces of Lang Son and Cao Bang.
According to research, up to now, the two localities have handed over 93.14km/93.35km, reaching 99.78% of the route length.
Of which, Cao Bang province handed over 41.26km/41.35km, equivalent to 99.78% of the route length; Lang Son province handed over 51.88/52km, equivalent to 99.77% of the route length.
According to information from the Cao Bang Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, some difficulties regarding site clearance, dumping sites containing excess soil and rock, and construction material mines serving the construction are being resolved.
It is known that phase 1 of the project starts at Tan Thanh border gate intersection (Van Lang district, Lang Son province). The end point is at National Highway 3 intersection (Chi Thao commune, Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province).
When put into operation, this border province will escape the traffic "depression". After completion, the route will shorten the travel time from Cao Bang to Hanoi and vice versa from 6-7 hours to 3.5 hours.
