On the morning of November 1, Nam Dong Ha Ward Police (Quang Tri Province) confirmed that the unit had just coordinated with the authorities to hand over the pangolin to the forest rangers for care and handling according to regulations.
Previously, at around 8:30 p.m. on October 31, while traveling to the intersection of Nguyen Hue - Dang Tat streets (Nam Dong Ha ward, Quang Tri province), Mr. Le Van Huan (residing in Quarter 2, Nam Dong Ha ward) discovered a pangolin crawling on the road.
Realizing that this was a rare wild animal that needed to be protected, Mr. Huan quickly arrested it and reported it to the authorities.
Immediately after receiving the report, Nam Dong Ha Ward Police coordinated with Cam Lo - Dong Ha Forest Protection Department and representatives of the Ward's Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department to go to Mr. Huan's house to receive and make a record of handing over the pangolin to the Forest Protection Department for care and handling according to regulations.
It is known that pangolin is a rare wild animal, banned from hunting, trading, storing, and transporting.
