On June 5, Market Management Team No. 6 under the Market Management Department of Quang Binh province said that it had just chaired and coordinated with the Economic Police Department (PC03) of the Provincial Police to inspect Thinh Phat Food Import-Export Company Limited, located in Bac Ly ward, Dong Hoi city.
At the time of inspection, the authorities discovered that the facility was storing a large quantity of smuggled frozen food with a total weight of more than 3,900kg. The main items include: pork belly, pork heart, three pork bones, pig's feet, pork tail, pig's feet, front - rear pig's nails, pork tongue, sails, four-edge chicken thighs, whole chicken thighs, chicken feet, chicken wings, buffalo meat and frozen potatoes.
According to initial verification, all of the above goods are manufactured abroad, with a total value of more than 259 million VND. However, the owner of the facility could not present invoices or documents proving the legal origin of the shipment.
The authorities have temporarily detained all the violating goods, at the same time made a record and completed the file for handling according to the provisions of law.
