After a serious fire at houses No. 66B and No. 66C on Mac Van Street, Xom Coi Ward, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City in the early morning of April 2, killing 3 people in a family, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed Official Dispatch No. 27/CD-TTg dated April 2, 2025, on behalf of the Government and the Prime Minister sending condolences to the relatives and families of the victims.

The telegram was sent to the Minister of Public Security and Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, especially Ho Chi Minh City, requesting:
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee organized visits, encouraged, and provided timely support to the victim's family, ensuring a stable life.
Closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to investigate the cause of the fire and strictly handle violations (if any).

The Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committees of provinces and cities continue to strictly implement instructions on fire prevention and fighting, especially Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 3, 2023.
Improve the effectiveness of propaganda and guidance on fire prevention and fighting skills for people and facilities at high risk of fire and explosion.
Proactively plan to ensure fire safety, especially during the upcoming Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, April 30 and May 1.
