On January 9, news from Military Region 5 said that tomorrow the unit will coordinate with the Party Committee and local authorities of Dak Lak province to organize the handover of 229 houses to people in the eastern area of the province, within the framework of the 2nd phase of the "Quang Trung Campaign".
Previously, in order to deploy a large-scale campaign, Military Region 5 established 610 construction teams and 314 house repair teams, mobilizing more than 8,000 officers and soldiers to participate in supporting people in building and repairing houses.
According to Military Region 5, in phase 1, Dak Lak province is the locality with the largest number of houses to be newly built and repaired in the Central region.
To date, the locality has completed 254/606 houses, reaching nearly 42% of the plan. The remaining houses are being urgently deployed, striving to complete on schedule according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
For many months, the image of soldiers of Military Region 5 carrying bags of cement, carrying sheets of corrugated iron across muddy roads has become familiar in many remote and isolated areas of Dak Lak.
Together with the local government and people, soldiers have contributed to building each house pillar, each warm house in difficult weather and traffic conditions.
The sound of hammers and saws echoed non-stop, reflecting the urgent pace of a large-scale campaign with profound political and social significance.
