50m of land in Le Thuy district
On January 10, Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Le Thuy district (Quang Binh province) Nguyen Xuan Tuong said that up to now, in the district, there are still 50m of the North-South expressway that has not been cleared of a household in Truong Thuy commune.
After checking and agreeing with the family, before January 15, Le Thuy district will complete the site clearance of this section, ending the main highway site in Quang Binh province.
According to the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, localities have conducted many inspections, held many meetings, and issued directives, but the site clearance for the North-South Expressway project has not yet been completely resolved, affecting the implementation of investors and construction units. The main reason is that local authorities are not resolute in handling and not flexible in applying regulations.
To complete the handover of clean land to the investor and contractors to complete the project and open it to traffic on April 30, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of localities and related units to focus on resolving all remaining problems before January 15, 2025.
Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee requested Le Thuy district to immediately handle the remaining main route in Truong Thuy commune; the road section to restore National Highway 9C (80m); and technical infrastructure works with 3 locations that have not been relocated.
The province also requested Quang Trach district to immediately handle the service roads and access roads to the underpass in Quang Hop commune; the N1 branch from National Highway 12A to the Km605+00 intersection in Quang Thanh commune; and direct the forest owner to carry out procedures to recover 13.36 hectares of natural forest in Quang Luu commune to hand over the construction site for the Tien - Chau - Van intersection.
In Bo Trach district, the province requested immediate handling of the construction of a civil underpass at the intersection with National Highway 15 and the construction of a flyover on Ho Chi Minh road.
The province requested Ba Don town to immediately handle the people's access road and the canal to return the area south of Quang Loc bridge; compensate and clear the land of 11 households in Quang Hoa commune.
The Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of districts and towns to urgently and resolutely implement and ensure that after January 15, 2025, there will be no more cases of households obstructing construction units at the site. In case of necessity, measures must be taken to protect the construction.
Take advantage of time to build
On the same day, Mr. Chu Van Long - Deputy Head of Project Management Department 4, Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board said that the unit is carrying out construction day and night on the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway.
Contractors organized 75 construction teams; mobilized about 635 pieces of equipment and machinery of all kinds; the total number of officers, engineers and workers was 1,455 people.
Every day, the unit works 3 shifts from morning to night. At noon, workers take a break to eat and rest, then continue their work on the road.
