On October 31, the leader of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province informed about the implementation of response work to rain and landslides in Quang Ngai province due to heavy rain lasting from October 25 to October 29, causing heavy damage to houses, agriculture, traffic, etc. The total preliminary damage value according to initial statistics is estimated at nearly 315 billion VND.
According to the leader of the Provincial People's Committee, the Prime Minister has recently decided to support the province with 100 billion VND to initially overcome the damage caused by natural disasters. The Provincial People's Committee is directing the Department of Finance and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with localities and units to advise the Provincial People's Committee to allocate funds to localities and units to overcome the damage. However, due to natural disasters occurring in a large area (affecting the whole province), the need for funding to overcome them is very large, while the province's resources are still limited.

Therefore, in order to promptly overcome the damage caused by the recent floods and rains, stabilize people's lives and production, the Provincial People's Committee respectfully requests the Deputy Prime Minister to consider continuing to support the province: 5,000 tons of rice, 10,000 boxes of instant noodles, 2 tons of dry food, 100 tons of medicine, 5,000 kg of Chloramine B powder, 50,000 Aquatabs, to organize medical examinations for people; disinfect, treat environmental pollution in flooded areas and prevent epidemics for people.
Support people with 100 billion VND (housing, agricultural production, silt, irrigation), fix traffic step 1, fix irrigation works, clean water for daily life that has landslides, washed away, broken canals, water pipes; fix landslides, mountains... to ensure production and daily life service as soon as possible for people.
Support 700 billion VND for reconstruction after natural disasters includes overcoming landslides, damage to traffic works in step 2 and overcoming irrigation works, infrastructure, riverbank landslides, streams, landslides...
