According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, in recent days, in Hac Thanh ward (the central ward of Thanh Hoa province), the situation of household waste congestion continues to occur on many roads and neighborhoods.
Even at some collection points, garbage is piled up in large piles, with a strong stench. Typically, at the garbage collection point next to Hoi An Park, garbage is piled up in large piles, stretching out and spilling onto the road surface, affecting people's lives, activities and travel.
It is known that the situation of garbage congestion in Hac Thanh ward is not new. Previously, at the end of 2025 and the early days of 2026, garbage repeatedly surrounded neighborhoods and collection points. Then, in the first days of April 2026, garbage continued to accumulate in this area.

After each congestion, local authorities and garbage collection units have intervened and implemented temporary solutions to handle it. However, after only a short time, this situation recurred.
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the leaders of Hac Thanh Ward People's Committee confirmed that in recent days there has been a situation of garbage congestion due to problems in transporting garbage to the treatment area in Nghi Son. By June 15, collection will be resumed to limit prolonged congestion.

Representatives of Hac Thanh Ward People's Committee also admitted that garbage collection and treatment in the locality has encountered many difficulties in the past time, and there are no fundamental and long-term solutions. Meanwhile, landfills in some neighboring areas are almost overloaded, causing difficulties for receiving. To solve this situation, the ward has reported to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and handling plans in the near future.
