On August 24, the Government Office announced that Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha had just signed Decision No. 1811/QD-TTg promulgating a list of public service units under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, including:
1. Vietnam Institute of Agricultural Sciences.
2. Vietnam Institute of Forestry Science.
3. Vietnam Institute of Water Resources Research.
4. Institute of Geological Sciences and Minerals.
5. Institute of Measurement and Mapping Sciences.
6. Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology, Environment and Sea.
7. Vietnam Institute of Fisheries Sciences.
8. Vietnam Veterinary and Veterinary Institute.
9. Vietnam Academy of Agriculture.
10. University of Irrigation.
11. Forestry University.
12. Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry.
13. Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment.
14. Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment.
15. School of Public Policy and Rural Development.
16. College of Economics, Technology and Fisheries.
17. Bao Loc College of Technology and Economics.
18. College of Food and Pharmacy.

According to the decision, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment reorganizes a number of public service units currently under the ministry as follows:
1. Merge the Institute of Agricultural Planning and Design and the Institute of Agricultural Mechanical Engineering and Technology after harvest into the Vietnam Institute of Agricultural Sciences.
2. Merge the Institute of Forestry Investigation and Planning into the Vietnam Institute of Forestry Sciences.
3. Merge the Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change and the Institute of Environmental Sciences, Sea and Islands into the Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology, Environment and Sea.
4. Merge the Institute of Aquaculture Research I; the Institute of Aquaculture Research II; the Institute of Aquaculture Research III; the Institute of Seafood Research; the Institute of Fisheries Economics and Planning into the Vietnam Institute of Fisheries Sciences.
5. Merge the Veterinary Institute and the Veterinary Institute into the Vietnam Veterinary and Veterinary Institute.
6. Merge the School of Agricultural Management and Rural Development Officers into the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture.
7. Merge the Southern College of Technology and Forestry into the College of Mechanical and Irrigation.
8. Merge the Northern Irrigation College into the College of Mechanical Engineering and Irrigation and change its name to the Northern College of Mechanical Engineering and Irrigation.
9. Merge Phu Tho College of Mechanical Engineering and Phu Tho College of Technology and Forestry into Phu Tho College of Mechanical Engineering and Forestry.
10. Merge Viet Xo Construction Electromechanical College into Ninh Binh Mechanical College and change its name to Agricultural and Environmental Electromechanical College.
11. Merge the Northern College of Agriculture and Rural Development into the Hanoi College of Mechanical Engineering.
12. Merge the Institute of Water Resources Science; the Institute of Water Resources Planning and the Southern Institute of Water Resources Planning into the National Center for Water Resources Planning and Investigation.
13. Merge the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 2 and the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 4 into the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 1.
14. Merge the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 8 into the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 7.
15. Merge the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 9 into the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 10.
16. Reorganize the Land Investigation, Planning and Valuation Center under the Department of Land Management and the Center for Development and Application of Land Science and Technology under the Institute of Strategy, Agricultural and Environmental Policy into the National Land Investigation and Planning Center under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
Transfer the Agricultural General Hospital and reorganize it into facilities under the Viet Duc Friendship Hospital under the Ministry of Health.
The reorganization of the above units will be completed before January 1, 2026.
This decision takes effect from August 23.
