Ca Mau - On April 25, the Department of Construction announced the temporary suspension of automobile traffic through Bao Tron culvert on Dam Doi - Cai Nuoc route due to serious landslides.

According to the Department of Construction of Ca Mau, through the inspection, initially determining the cause of the tide up and down, causing the water to rush through the circular sewer, forming a strong whirlpool of the area in front of the drain, eroding the base of reinforced concrete embankments (reinforced in 2015) causing incidents.

Previously, on April 23, the road management unit of Bao Tron culvert area (Km 7+200) on Dam Doi - Cai section had cracks and subsidence, which could cause traffic safety risks.

While the temporary blockage of the flow through the sewers has not been completed, at around 12:05 on April 24, the cracked and subsided area had collapsed, subsiding more than half of the road towards the river and not ensuring traffic in this area.

On the afternoon of April 24, the Department of Construction directed and completed the temporary suspension of the flow through Bao Tron culvert by using a steel plate to cover both ends of the culvert and warning against traffic.

Dam Doi - Cai Nuoc route is an inter-district road with high traffic density in Ca Mau province.
